Our American heritage comes alive at the Pioneer Village and Chelan County Historical Museum in Cashmere, both of which have been developed from local original buildings clustered together. Some of the buildings featured in the Village are an Assay Office, Mine Portal, Blacksmith Shop, Homestead Cabins, Post Office, Doctor and Dentist Offices, Saloon, and a Hotel. Some of the exhibits in the museum include American Indian artifacts, pioneer relics, and a mineral collection. For large groups and tour bus excursions, call 782-3230 for reservations.
Ohme Gardens County Park
3327 Ohme Road, Wenatchee. 19 miles from Leavenworth. Nationally famous arboretum located on a bluff above the Columbia River in Wenatchee. Celebrated its 75th anniversary season in 2004. Open daily April 15th through October 15th, 9am to 6pm, spring/fall. 9am to 7pm summer.

Bicycling
Bicyclists will find several cycle routes in the Leavenworth area from a flat seven-mile loop through the Icicle Valley to a challenging 34-mile loop to Lake Wenatchee and back.
Rock Climbing
Peshastin Pinnacles State Park – Just outside of the town of Cashmere, Peshastin Pinnacles offers an exclusive opportunity for rock climbing and rapelling. Rock climbing gear available for rent at: Der Sportsman, 548-5623 and Leavenworth Mountain sports, 548-7864.
This is a very popular spot for families and recreational skiers because of its dependable snow conditions, level terrain, practice loop and scenic views of the surrounding peaks. There is a four km. loop through the woods with an optional four km. extension across the Icicle Canal.
Waterfront Park Trail
Just one block from downtown, skiers can access this three km. trail at either end of Waterfront Park. Continuing west, it crosses onto Blackbird Island and follows the river, providing views of wildlife, shining waters and the mountains beyond. At the entrance to the Golf Course, one can circle back through Enchantment Park or continue on to the eight km. of more hilly terrain ahead. Entry to the Golf Course Trail requires a trail pass.
